RumorPress: Professional Design for the Business Blogger
Published by Steve on July 23rd, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Believe it or not, Rumorpress, the latest premium WordPress theme to grace the Products page, was actually first inspired by Dr. Arnold Kim’s Mac Rumors blog. However, when the creative juices began flowing… RumorPress ended up becoming something totally different and more importantly: unique. RumorPress is currently my personal favourite design to date and I’m very pleased with the outcome.
I love the look of MacRumors.com, don’t get me wrong, it was just that I felt that half way through the design that I wanted to veer more towards creating a template that would be more ideal for the professional business bloggers amongst us. About the only thing that RumorPress has in common with the MacRumors.com template now is that they both sport three columns.
One of the benefits of using the RumorPress theme is that it is almost entirely comprised of CSS design and colouring. By default, there are only four unique images displayed on the index page: the header, avatar and valid XHTML and valid CSS buttons. This means that page rendering times are not certainly going to be a problem.
Personally, I’m very pleased with the final result and am very optimistic that both you and - should you purchase the theme - your visitors will be, too.
